How to Play Texas Holdem Poker : Middle Position in Texas Holdem Poker

Let’s look now at how to play middle position.
Middle position, its a lot like playing the
early position. Especially, if you’re in a
nine or ten handed game. Now, something to
think about is you can loosen up a little
more. Whereas, you might fold jacks or tens
from an earlier position. If you’re in an
unraised pot, and you look down and you see
them, you’ll play them. Now let’s look at
this scenario. You have a fold and and a fold
from the first three positions. This person,
clearly a middle position and sees nine /
eights. As it happens, this person is a little
loose. A loose aggressive player, a lag. They
go ahead and they bet three times the big
blind. Next position looks down, a pair of
queens. Now, from any position pretty much,
you’re going to play these Hilton sisters
pretty strong. Now, what do I do? I reraise,
go to about six time the big blind, or seven
times the big blind. Next hand jack/ ten with
a raise and a reraise in front of me. I throw
it away. that’s pretty much how you should
play middle position. You look down there’s
been one raise to you, and you look down and
you see anything from a pair of sevens up,
say a pair of sevens, to a pair of tens. See
the flop. You see a premium hand, reraise.
Lets play.
