NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs – Second Round Betting Preview and Picks (5.5.17)

In one of the all-time bad backfirings I got out gambled by randomly selected hat picks last night but it’s okay. If you back me you’re only down a unit and if it hadn’t been for a pointless Sens goal with just over six minutes left in the game we would have come out even. For all you out there saying, we want that hat back. Forget about it. You’ll never be hearing from that hat again, it’s been taken care of. No piece of head wear outsmarts me and gets away with it. I’ve done my mourning and I’m ready to move on as we have another two games slate to handicap the Western Conference games once again align. The first game between the Blues and Pred’s will see the SaberCats look to finish off the Notes and punch their ticket to the Conference Finals. We’ve been getting burned by underdogs lately and despite Nashville looking like the better team for the majority of this series I’m leaning towards the chalk. Pekka Rinne has not taken his circus act on the road this series with an .880 save percentage in St. Louis and the Blues offense started to get going a little bit in Game five. I expect St. Louis to be singing the BeeGee’s tonight by Stayin’ Alive and sending this thing to a sixth game is Smashville. Blues’ money line is the play here and if you’re feeling a little rusky take Vladimir Tarasenko to score anytime. Lastly we have game five between the Ducks and Oilers, in a series where the home team is yet to win a game. That trend can’t last. Anaheim was one of the best home teams all season and I fully expect them to get it done tonight. They’ll likely be without Kevin Bieksa but I don’t consider that much of a disadvantage. The Ducks have unquestionably the deepest blue line in the National Hockey League and they’ll easily find a way to fill in those lost minutes. Additionally Randy Carlyle tossed the lines up for Game four and it paid absolute dividends. The top line of Jean Luc Rickard Rakell, Ryan Getzlaf, and Corey Perry was instrumental in the quackers comeback last contests and will continue to be in the Ducks’ enterprise to get by Connor McDavid and the oil machine. Take the Ducks on the money line at a price of -135. If you like that pun or those picks make sure to give me a follow @Robtrocity and don’t forget to tune into OddsShark Live every weekday at 2:30 p.m. Eastern. Good luck tonight, and remember you lose 100% of the bets you don’t make.
